“Burning Skies” is an investigative developed by EIF in partnership with the European Investigative Collaborations network and their 12 media partners. This investigation uncovers the hidden toll of gas flaring across Africa and the MENA region for a total of 18 countries. It notably reveals under-reported GHG emissions and health impacts of Western oil majors due to their flaring practice.
