Aron is the team lead for Southeast Asia and Africa at Earthsight. Prior to this he was the former Asia Pacific Editor at The Third Pole and China Dialogue, managing the websites’ reporting on climate change and the environment across the Asia Pacific. Based in London, he works closely with editors, experts and freelancers across the region. Prior to this role, Aron worked as a campaigner at NGO the Environmental Investigation Agency , focused on illegal and unsustainable trade in wildlife. He has published several papers on the complexities of China’s biodiversity legislation, and the persistence of legal markets for the products of endangered and internationally protected species, and holds a degree in Chinese Studies.
